  1. I know you wrote this a few Monday’s ago but I just wanted to let you know that you are doing so much more to try to get yourself to the life you want than you are giving yourself credit for! I hate that feeling of just running into brick walls at every turn. But there’s always something you can do to take another step forward. You know that feeling of one step forward, 2 steps back… but in the end it’s still another step forward that you made! But some days I know it feels like 2 steps forward (or no steps forward) and a thousand steps back. But it rarely ever is that detrimental.

I also really love the 5×5 rule

( the 5×5 rule, a mental tool for managing stress and perspective. The rule prompts you to ask if a problem will matter in 5 years; if the answer is no, you should limit your worry and energy spent on it to no more than 5 minutes.)

You probably have heard all this a thousand times from other friends, family and therapists but you know I’m feeling the urge to share it again. Maybe for me, maybe for you, maybe I just wanted to leave a long comment for fun! But no matter the reason, I’m always proud of you for getting back up and trying again.

    1. I hadn’t heard about the 5×5 thing. That’s an intriguing idea. I’ll have to remember that. It also helps to have a great friend like you to hold onto my sanity. Thank you for this!
